I made a dress today

I made a dress today! I had this really ugly quilt top that I got from my aunt (stuff from her mother-in-law) and a pattern for a little girl dress that I bought on Etsy a while ago (from the 70s). I decided that the quilt was too ugly to be quilt, but cute enough to be a 70s-style dress for Allyson. So I made it today and aside from a few mistakes, I think I did an okay job. I have enough to make another one if anybody (Nola) wants one.

It's probably a good thing that you mentioned Nola in regard to someone wanting one. I was going to be expecting one for Christmas.... and maybe I still will be. Don't worry, you can still make it child-size. I like to shoe-horn myself into my dresses around the holidays. I think it's festive.
But seriously, cute! And much better as a dress than what I imagine it was as a quilt.

I love her little model pose for the back of the dress!

when you make things from other things, you should take before pictures too so we can see what you transformed... just a thought.

Allyson is meant to be a model, I think. She has some serious talent in the posing. I think the dress is awesome!

I never official said it - but Nola does want a dress. So I claim it!
