Chaos

Here are my submissions for this weeks' theme. The first one is a bunch of scraps from various projects that I'm saving to make a scrap quilt. The second one is the parking lot taken from the balcony at Windows off Washington with my camera on the wrong setting. The third one is one of the book shelves in my sewing room. It used to just have books on it but it's slowly filling up with random crap. I'll let everyone else decide which picture is more chaotic.

bookmark

I have a lot of extra fabric so I've been trying to find uses for it all. One idea I had was making bookmarks. Here's my first attempt. It's a little too thick because I put batting in the middle, but I think fabric bookmarks are a good idea. Maybe I'll start a multimillion dollar business (some day).

Weekly Theme

It is my turn, right? This week's theme is CHAOS. I am inspired by the last few hours I've spent trying to clean up my sewing room at the same time trying to make a Halloween costume. I'm feeling very chaotic. I don't know if this is a good theme for a photo; if it seems to hard, let me know and I can pick a different theme.

Weekly Theme: Still Life

My still life pictures come from a wedding I went to this weekend. This first photo was taken on the wrong setting, but I think it looks cool. Maybe not so still. This one is more of a still life.
This was the centerpiece at the wedding. Not too exciting, but I was determined to turn it into some kind of interesting picture; this was the best I could do. I don't know if it's technically still life since the fire (and water, I guess) move. Whatever

My night of hourly appointments

Last night sucked! I went to bed at 9:00. I was up twice before 10:00. Then Scott got up with Molly at 11:30. Then I was up again at 12:30, 1:45, 3:15, 4:45 and then woke up for the morning at 6:15. So it wasn't hourly apointments, but if you figure that I was up between 15 and 45 minutes each time I got up you should totally feel sorry for me! If you don't, I hate you.

Pumpkinland!

The McFarlands and the Maues went on a trip to PUMPKINLAND today and it was Awesome! Here are a few pictures from our outing. I'm sure Janae will have a similar post soon, but there will be different, and probably better, pictures. So much Hay! This was like a sandbox, but filled with and made out of hay

Allyson and Nola riding on the pumpkin horse.

Scott, Allyson, and a lot of gourds. They have the same smile!

Nola was diggin' the candied apple!

Everybody should go to Pumpkinland!!

Good Bye Tuperware Bed

Last night was the first night Molly slept in her own room in an actual bed (crib) instead of a big tupperware box. She's starting to get a little too long for the box. It will be sad to see the tupperware go, but it will be nice to have her in her own room. plus, I need the box for storage for Allyson's clothes. So I guess we all win.
Yesterday was also Molly's 3 week birthday. Strange how three weeks seems like forever! Especially since the first four days were spent in the hospital. Well, that's all for now.

Weekly theme: Comfort

Nothing like sucking your thumb with your favorite stuffed animal under a blanket! (If you're 3 years old)
I also included this picture of Molly because she looks pretty comfortable. She is, in fact, totally uncomfortable because she hasn't pooped in over 24 hours. She's cute anyway!

What up

Nothing. That's what up. Molly is two weeks old today and I am now able to drive. For the past two weeks I have been home-bound, unless some one was driving me. For the past few days Scott has been kinda busy with work stuff and not really home. This, unfortunately, coinsided with the Maue household running out of toilet paper, milk, juice, and deodorant (and we were getting dangerously low on diapers). None of this really affected Scott since he wasn't really home except to sleep, so he wasn't too concerned. I, on the other hand was sick of using paper towels in the bathroom, feeding Kool-aid and orange juice to Allyson, and having stinky armpits.

So, today was glorious! I drove my stinky self to Walgreens and spent more there today than I ever have at Walgreens at one time: $53.00.

Here's a picture of Molly on her two week birthday, still sleeping in her tuperware bed:

Weekly Theme: Fire

Here are two photos. I like the second one better as far as it dealing with the theme of the week. The first one I just think looks nice. I like my black votive holders.

I don't have a fancy camera, but here is my coffee photo. I like my old-timey coffee container.
